i cannot scan ...

Hi everybody.

 

I have a huge problem!

 

I have 4 dishes, i have no problem with 2 of them (Turksat and Hispasat) but the other2, i cannot scan them all!

 

Both Hotbird and W3a only scan 3 frequencies!

I thought the problem was because of the beta driver 4.4.1, so i formatted my pc and set up 4.32 driver..

I stille have the same problem right now.

 

But in altdvb i can scan whole trasnponders..

I dont thik its an hardware issue but, couldnt find what is the REAL thing..

If it works with altdvb, it should work with the DVBViewer as well. Check with transedit which diseqc setting correspond to the 4 different satellites (A/A, B/A, A/B, B/:blush:

This is what i know..

 

LNB1 Turksat A-A

LNB2 Hotbird B-B

LNB3 Hispasat A-B

LNB4 W3a B-A

 

Now i can scan LNB1 with no problem, but the others do not find any frequencies

What can that be?

Aslo tried DVBViewer it works fine

 

NOTE: By the way i installed a slipstreamd Xp installation,

is SP3 causing problems? iCouldnt install TS440 and its software, an error said that i HAD to upgrade to SP2..

didnt understand it at all!

By the way..

I downloaded the transponder ini file from kingofsat..

i deleted the feed transponders..

and the tv channels left in the list.

 

May this be the origin of the problem?

Unfortunatly i wrote those ini files over the original ones, so..

Could some pls send me an up-to-date ini file to try?

Thank you for replying my calls.

I uploaded my transedit EXPORT files, and the ini files from kingsofsat.

 

as you see i can only scan , hotbird 11278, W3A 11283..

 

I have two sattelites combination (hotbird-W3) at one DISH, the others are individual..

But still, i can scan other frequencies via other dvb players..

 

By the way, can you please tell me, what is the diffrence between the TP files in CMUV and the TP files in root directory?

when i use transedit, the ones in the root TP's folder convert themself to a recognised format for DVBViewer.

So what is the other one used for?

The location of the files depends on the user mode. Just click on help and you'll see.. ..same for trasnedit.

 

You have to activate diseqc before scanning either in transedit or in the DVBViewer. Your inis are without (diseqc -> none).

Well first of all i'm deleting the old ones,

then pasting the new ones from kingofsat..

 

in transedit i'm setting the diseqc to B/B for Hotbird.. (shown in the ss.)

but still no other frequencies!

it scans only 1 frequency (11278), it asks me whether i wanna save or no! I saved it and the ini file changes to a recognised format.

then i export the file to a INI file from transedit and import it in DVBViewer

So I have them already SET-UP !

 

And try again scanning, then...oops! It doesnt even find 11278!

 

 

 

Could you please fix the inis ?

So that i can find what is wrong?

Because right now i didnt really understand what it is !

Please send me the fixed ones, and i'll also try this your way!

Well the settings shpoould be right as said before my diseqc settings are

 

LNB1 Turksat A-A

LNB2 Hotbird B-B

LNB3 Hispasat A-B

LNB4 W3a B-A

 

and w3a and hotbird can scan only one channel!

if the settings were wrong, it shouldnt have scanned any transponders..

 

Is there anything i can do about it?

I'm kind'a pessimistic right now:(

 

And the other thing is service pack 3 support..

Does servicepack3 has situations with SS2 card drivers and software that is needed for DVBViewer installations?

 

As i said before TS441 gives me an error while installing the software (not driver) an shows a message that tells me that i have SP3 installed and i need to UPGRADE ( ! ) to SP2!

Anyone had that problem before?

or is that a common thing??

Well my computer has a FRESH windows installation.

I did install it this morning!

Its not a mess, there i something but i couldn'd find it out..

Well the settings shpoould be right as said before my diseqc settings are

I suppose you confused diseq settings; it must have been like this:

 

LNB 1 Turksat A-A

LNB 2 Horbird B-A

LNB 3 Hispasat A-B

LNB 4 W3a B-B

 

What i suggest to you is:

Just erase all the inis both under CMUV > Transponders and DVBV > Transponders Folders; additionally channels.dat channels.bak, favourites.XML(under CMUV)

 

Download current raw inis from Kingofsat into CMUV > Transponders Folder

 

Open DVBV and prepare a temporary channels.dat; i mean from any transponder scan one known TP and save this list (It is needed for Transedit to recognize DVBV.)

 

Open Transedit and adjust diseq settings as i gave above.

Scan with Transedit and after scanning complated export this scanned ini as "Hotbird.ini"- for instance

 

Open DVBV and open Channel editor and import these inis and save.
