w8andc
I normally use DVBViewer to watch DVD without a problem. Not on a weekly basis, but now and than. Since I installed Windows Vista it is impossible to navigate through the DVD menu's. The cursor symbol doesn't show up. In the options window I tried different video renderers (overlay, VMR7, unchanged, VMR9) and different video and audio decoders, but never the cursor will show up. I can navigate blind. It seems it is just invisible. In the filter menu the windows DVD navigator shows up. When using Media Player Classic and after assigning keys to go right, left, up, down and select it works perfectly. Also here the DVD navigator is used. Also using the Cyberlink PowerDVD Ultra no problem in navigation. Strangely using Windows Media Player 11 I can't play a DVD at all. Windows Vista let this player even shut down, it crashes when selecting the DVD drive to start playing. There must be something wrong with the visiblility of the cursor in DVD menu's in DVBViewer. Is this a known problem? Nobody who has or had the same issue? Edited April 1, 2007 by w8andc Quote Link to comment
w8andc
Nobody answers me or can give me a hint. So, I must asume I am the only person who have this issue. Strange. PS: I would attach the support.zip file but the options in this forum says "Attachment space used 251.24k of 256k". To do so first: how can I make space free to attach a file? Thanks EDIT: attachment problem solved --> see support.zip here Edited April 4, 2007 by w8andc Quote Link to comment
Moses
I think that there are not that much people out there using Vista.. and even less of them are using it on their HTPC with DVBViewer... Maybe that issue exists, but you are the first that stumpeled upon it... For the attachments: in my controls somewhere on the left is a link "manage attachments", there you can delete old attachments and free up space... I think that system is quite odd, because you'll end up with a board full of deleted attachments.. but hey, I didn't install the board.. maybe the space is rare on the server? *shrugs* Quote Link to comment
w8andc
Thanks moses for your great help. I've found the attachment list and management. Without you I would have searched for a long time. Windows Vista is indeed very surprising! Mabye someone will come up to the same problem and hopefully will find this tread. When I installed DVBViewer is was OK, but while playing with/testing some settings here and there, finally the DVD navigation goes wrong and like you ever the cursor is no more showing up and I can only navigate blind.
