Bobben
I tried to search the forums but I was not sure what to conclude. My question is if the USB based Technotrend TT-S2-3650 CI works well with DVBViewer and TransEdit ? (Will be using Conax CI module) With my USB 3600 card I have a big problem getting the complete 66.8Mbps transport via USB2.0 interface. Seems like the hardware or driver do not work at all with 30MS/s 8PSK 3/4 ( TransEdit reports around 22-25Mbps and the PID list is full of rubbish). Has anybody tried TransEdit with Technotrend TT-S2-3650 CI on the 30MS/s on Thor5 0.8 west with success ? 12015 V and 12128V SR=30MS/s DVB-S2 FEC=3/4 Pilot=Off The fact that USB TT-S2-3600 does not work with 30MS/s~66.8Mbs is quite strange. Accoring to the product information it is supposed to work with channelbitrates up to 90Mbps. The same as for TT-S2-3650 CI http://shop.technotrend.de/dokumente/TechS...S2-3600_new.pdf http://shop.technotrend.de/dokumente/TechS...50%20CI_new.pdf Edited August 21, 2008 by Bobben Quote Link to comment
CiNcH
You are exactly the man I was looking for. This problem is known for all TT USB products. Streams > 60 MBit/s get crippled by the USB bridge. I have a beta driver attempting to fix the problem but due to a lack of testers it is yet to be confirmed. I am looking for very detailed and well-founded test results. Here are the transponders that are to be verified with TransEdit: Astra 23.5°Ost: 11758H, 27500, 8psk, 5/6 (68.75 MBit/s) Astra 23.5°Ost: 11720H, 27500, 8psk, 3/4 (61.875 MBit/s) Sirius, 5°Ost: 12168V, 27500, 8psk, 3/4 (61.875 MBit/s) Sirius, 5°Ost: 12206V, 27500, 8psk, 3/4 (61.875 MBit/s) Hispasat, 30°West: 12012H, 30000, 8psk, 3/4 (67.5 MBit/s) Hispasat, 30°West: 12052H, 30000, 8psk, 3/4 (67.5 MBit/s) Hispasat, 30°West: 12092H, 30000, 8psk, 3/4 (67.5 MBit/s) Thor 3/5 & Intelsat 10-02 at 0.8°West: 12015H, 30000, 8psk, 3/4 (67.5 MBit/s) Thor 3/5 & Intelsat 10-02 at 0.8°West: 12130H, 30000, 8psk, 3/4 (67.5 MBit/s) So if you would like to perform a thorough test with the new driver, drop me a PM. CiNcH
Let me give a short conclusion... According to Bobben the new driver does not fix the problem. I am really tired now as I am spending time on shit and nothing comes out. So if you got the problem, bug TechnoTrend with it, you can also reference this thread. It describes the problem and lists the problematic transponders. And to answer Bobben's question, the S2-3650 is affected as well, as well as many other external solutions. So go for a PCI adapter to be on the safe side (hopefully). Edited August 21, 2008 by CiNcH Quote Link to comment
