toox
Hello, I am using DVBViewer 3.9.x version. I have installed two dvb cards: - SkyStar 2 rev 2.6D(used for DVB-S, driver v4.4.1) and - LifeView FlyDVB Trio (used for DVB-T, driver v2.10.2.1) When I switch from DVB-T channel to the DVB-S channel I do not get a picture on screen. There is EPG info, but the signal quality/power indicator is very low (28%). When I restart the program I get the picture back (indicator points to 70%). Even when I switch beetwen the DVB-S channels i loose the picture. Switching beetwen DVB-t channels works. Is this connected with the DVBViewer or with my card? One important not is that when I plug out the DVB-T card, switching DVB-S channels works perfectly. If this is not a DVBViewer issue, then I suspect that somehow DVB-T card(or its driver) messes up the things. I guess it should not be a problem in SS2 since it is pretty mature card by now. Is there any list of DVB-S/DVB-T cards that work together with DVBViewer? If this list can not be posted on forum, you can drop me a private message. Other info: motherboard is ABIT-NF7 S(Nforce 2 chipset), graphics card is ATI 9000, drv v6.14.10.6462 Thanks! support.zip Quote Link to comment
Benarty
DVBViewer uses 3 channel groups. Be sure that, scan the DVB-T channels towrads A group Scan the DVB-S towards the B-group Quote Link to comment
Griga
- LifeView FlyDVB Trio (used for DVB-T, driver v2.10.2.1) It's a DVB-S/T hybrid tuner. Is DVB-S antenna in of the LifeView card connected to something? Maybe an interference with the SkyStar2? If the LifeView DVB-S tuner is not supposed to be used, set it to "Do not use" on Options -> Hardware. Be sure that, scan the DVB-T channels towrads A groupScan the DVB-S towards the B-group Distinguishing DVB-S/T by means of channel groups is unnecessary. Quote Link to comment

DVB-S port of Lifeview was set to "Do not use" otherwise sometimes viewer would start scanning sat. programs on that port. And moving the DVB-S channels to "A" and DVB-T to "B" did not help. Any idea what to try next? Quote Link to comment

Araj
I have the same problem switching channels, using a Hauppauge HVR-4000 card, with tuners on the same card for both DVB-T and DVB-S. The tuners show as separate devices in XP. support.zip Quote Link to comment
reg666
Same problem in version 3.9.4. OK in version 3.9.2 (settings>options>hardware and tick "stop stream while tunning" on both Terrestrial and Satellite). I am using Hauppauge HVR-3000. Quote Link to comment
toox
Same problem in version 3.9.4. OK in version 3.9.2 (settings>options>hardware and tick "stop stream while tunning" on both Terrestrial and Satellite). I am using Hauppauge HVR-3000. I am having 3.9.2 and it does not work with my case with those options enabled. I will try upgrading to 3.9.4 and changing the ss2 drriver to the older one. Quote Link to comment
ii141c
I have the same problem. I have a hvr4000 and every time i change from a TDT channel to a SAT channel, o viceversa, i have a black screen. If I click the option Reinitializate video (or something similar, i do not have now the program here and i do not remember it well), I see it. But i have to do this every time i change from TDT to SAT o viceversa. In post http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=27282 they say that it is a bug in version 3.9.4 and give another way to solve this problem, click View -> Close Graph (or perhaps it is the same that I do, but i have it in spanish), but i think it is no usefull. There is another solution: installing DVBViewer GE 2.5, but you lose the advantages of DVBViewer pro. I hope this problem will be solve very soon in next version Thank you Quote Link to comment

I hope this problem will be solve very soon in next version Thank you I have the HVR-4000 and have tried the HYBRIDTUNERTEST executable from the members area. This allows changing between the terrestrial and satellite tuners of the card without error, it takes an additional 2 seconds as it does so, however plugins are not supported by this executable. I hope that feature is added in the next release. So I am now back to the original DVBViewer.exe and using the RebuildGraph action when switching between the tuners. Quote Link to comment
Lars_MQ
that feature is added in the next release No, I was just bored and played a little around... Of course it will be added, that's what I made this test for! Quote Link to comment
zinedinezizou
I do not know if there is a solution to this issue, I just buy a Hauppauge 4000 and the switch to dvb-T and dvb-S tells me "device dvb unavailable." I installed the beta 3.9.4.40, but this has not solved anything. I have read that some members of the forum say they have installed the 3.9.4.10 and they fix the problem. What can I do?. Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment
Tjod
New: Hybrid Tuner Support (HVR & Co) does work now. Please delete your hardware.xml in the userdata folder, so the DVBViewer does a new hardware scan. http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=27719 Quote Link to comment
zinedinezizou
http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=27719 With the final version 3.9.4.0 does not work changing DVB-T to DVB-S or vice versa, device dvb unavailable. That is why I installed the beta 3.9.4.40, to see if this beta worked. I seem to have bought the Hauppauge hvr4000 has not been a good idea. Thank you for your prompt response. Quote Link to comment
Griga
You can try DVBViewer GE 2.6 (see members area, read the included ReadMe!) just for comparison. It provides HVR 4000 hybrid tuner handling since version 2.4.2. Quote Link to comment
